Save The Date Cards

So your engaged and you have started on your wedding plans.  One of the first things you should begin to think about once you have set the date and chosen the venue is the wedding invitations.  There is a wide range of wedding stationery to choose from for different wedding themes such as butterfly wedding invitations and vintage wedding invitations.

A recently popular thing to do is to send out a Save The Date card to your guests.  This is a good idea if you are getting married abroad or if your wedding is during a time that is popular for people taking holidays.  Even if the above isn’t the case it is still a great idea so that your guests have all the up to date information for your big day.

Save the date cards can be sent up to 9 months before your big day.  However if you aren’t that organised it is still possible to send them 6 or even 5 months before.  It is useful to have some of the details set for your day so you can include some information in your save the dates.  Of course your date will be set so you should also have a venue booked so you could include information about the venue.  If you have a wedding website with extra information on your big day then it is a great idea to include the address so that your guests can investigate accommodation options and you can let your guests know easily about any last minute changes for the day.

All in all save the date cards are an excellent idea so that all of your friends and family are about to come to your big day and can get an early taste as to the kind of wedding you are going to have.
